Icel Group joins forces with Ecovert FM to strengthen operations
 
On 1 November 2005, Ecovert FM welcomed 120 new colleagues from ICEL Group who became part of the Bouygues Group's FM Division following their acquisition by ETDE. The additional turnover for the FM division will be circa £9m per annum initially. ICEL Group is based in Lenham, near Maidstone, in , and has two companies: ICEL Maidstone Ltd and ICEL Power Systems Ltd. ICEL Maidstone undertakes the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of mechanical, electrical and instrument systems and ancillary equipment. One of their niches is the bespoke design, installation and on-site maintenance of complex process monitoring and instrumentation systems in the pharmaceutical industry. ICEL Power Systems designs, installs (including the provision of hire sets), services and maintains diesel powered generators, UPS systems and ancillary equipment.
 
ICEL operate quality management sytems and have an excellent record in health and safety. Additionally, ICEL Maidstone is an NICEIC approved contractor, a member of the Electrical Contractors Association (ECA) and the Joint Industry Board (JIB). The company will continue to be led by its existing directors. The ICEL Board will now be chaired by Bruno Bodin with Simon Holliday as Vice-Chairman.
 
ICEL will strengthen Ecovert FM’s Total FM offering by adding specialist areas of expertise, critical to our clients’ businesses and the longevity of our contracts. ICEL Group has centred its business on blue-chip clients in the FTSE 100, in particularly the pharmaceutical industry. ICEL Group's current clients also include a number of NHS Trusts and government departments such as the HM Prison Services, both groups of clients Ecovert FM is already working for.
