Ecovert FM Signs Broomfield Hospital PFI
Ecovert FM, in partnership with its sister company Bouygues UK and partner HSBC (HIFML), is delighted to announce that it has reached financial close on the Broomfield Hospital PFI scheme for Mid-Essex NHS Hospital Services Trust.
From June 2010, a 30-strong Ecovert FM team will provide helpdesk, estates maintenance and lifecycle fund to the new-build elements over a 32 year concession.
The 43,000m2 new-build acute hospital includes more than 330 beds, five day-case operating theatres and three endoscopy rooms, A&E department, maternity department with two new operating theatres, neonatal intensive care unit, and a rooftop helipad. 40,000m2 of the existing hospital will remain in use.
The new building, which has a construction cost of £148 million, will be completed and fully operational by August 2010. Landscaping, road improvements and other work outside the building will be completed in 2011.
Construction work will begin immediately with Ecovert FM advising on FM-led design.
