Ecovert FM gain 4-star food rating
Ecovert FM has achieved a four-star rating for its food safety standards at West Middlesex Hospital, under a new pilot scheme supported by the Food Standards Agency.
The scheme publicly makes available information on how well food businesses are complying with food hygiene law. The ratings are given following an inspection by the local environmental health department.
The impromptu inspection at the hospital rated Ecovert FM’s catering for patients, visitors and staff – over 440,000 meals per year - as a very good four star service. The report stated ‘good safety management and high standard of compliance with food safety legislation’ in all areas.
Mike Gennery, Ecovert FM General Manager, said: “We are delighted to receive this public recognition for the services we provide. Maintaining the highest levels of food safety is of paramount importance to us, particularly as we cater for sick and vulnerable patients. To achieve this level when we provide around 440,000 meals every year is testament to the hard work of all our staff, especially our catering team.”
