Ecovert FM begins services at North Mid Hospital
Ecovert FM has begun service delivery to the newly built and refurbished North Middlesex University Hospital.
The new-build part of the hospital spans 32,000m² and the retained estate, 34,000 m². New amenities include an emergency care centre, critical and acute care centre, a diagnosis and treatment centre and additional clinical support services.
Via a 30-strong team, Ecovert FM delivers building engineering and fabric maintenance, infrastructure maintenance, project management, helpdesk and lifecycle fund management to the new and retained estate over a 31.5 year period.
The new hospital, located in North London, was handed over to the Trust on 8 April 2010 and became fully operational on 1 June following commissioning and occupation by the Trust. It was built by Ecovert FM’s sister company, Bouygues UK. Landscaping, road improvements and other works outside the building are due to be completed in 2011.
The Bouygues Consortium, made up of Ecovert FM, Bouygues UK and HSBC Infrastructure Fund Management Limited, reached financial close on the North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust’s Private Finance Initiative scheme in August 2007.
David Carr, Managing Director of Ecovert FM says, “We are delighted to have service delivery off the ground at North Middlesex. The newly built and renovated areas make a huge difference to the hospital complex and for residents in the local area.We are proud to be a part of this project in partnership with the Trust.”
