
ETDE FM Canada, Ecovert Group's operating company in Canada, has reached financial close on the Green Timbers Accommodation Partners (GTAP) project, a Public Private Partnership (PPP) contract for the new E-Division headquarters of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Canada's national police force.
The RCMP headquarters, in Surrey, British Columbia (western Canada), will be made up of three buildings spanning an area of 76,000m2 on a 14-hectare site. It will house up to 3,000 detachment members and civilian staff, currently based in a number of older buildings throughout the region.
ETDE FM Canada’s contract is for a 25-year FM and lifecycle concession period, starting December 2012. Via a 95-strong team, the company will deliver facilities and plant maintenance, cleaning, waste management, information management services (CMMS, BMS and energy management systems), food services, utilities management and landscaping, as well as other miscellaneous services.
The GTAP project team is made up of ETDE FM Canada, sister construction company Bouygues Bâtiment International and HSBC Specialist Investments Ltd Infrastructure Fund III.
Construction began in May 2010, with completion scheduled for December 2012. The building will be constructed to LEED* Gold standard and will be managed to BOMA BESt**.
