Excellent PEAT rating at West Middlesex Hospital

Ecovert FM in partnership with West Middlesex Hospital Trust, has scored “Excellent” ratings for the Environment, Food and Patient Privacy & Dignity categories at the hospital, following this year’s Patient Environment Action Team (PEAT) assessment.

Established in 2000 by the NHS and managed since 2006 by the National Patient Safety Agency, PEAT assesses every inpatient healthcare facility in England with more than 10 beds by carrying out inspections and interacting with ward staff and patients.

The self-assessment team consisted of members of the Trust executive team, Ecovert FM management team members, patient representatives and matrons.

Gina Lynn, Facilities Manager for the Trust said: “Patient catering is of the highest standards and the food tasting exercise has been reflected through the fine adjustments that continue to be made in this service. All in all, as the visit progressed through the day, what was revealed was the great deal of hard work that had taken place during the last year, leading to positive changes.”

Ecovert FM has been Total Facilities Management provider to West Middlesex University Hospital since 2003.
