Cabinet Office extends Ecovert FM contract for further three years

The Cabinet Office has extended Ecovert FM's Total FM contract for a further three years, following an in-depth benchmarking process.

Carried out on a service-by-service basis, the benchmarking process started with soft services in 2007 and extended to hard services through 2008. The result confirmed that Ecovert FM continues to offer cost-effective, high-quality FM services to the Cabinet Office's London estate, centred on Whitehall.

The extension, which begins in April 2009, follows on from the seven year contract that Ecovert FM has held with the Cabinet Office. The start of the contract coincided with the significant estate renovations and drive for estate rationalisation in 2002.

Ecovert FM provides the Cabinet Office with an integrated total FM service from building engineering services and complex project management through to the full spectrum of soft services including catering, secure mail, cleaning and churn management.

Chris Zammit, head of commercial activity at the Cabinet Office, says "We are pleased to extend Ecovert FM's contract for a further three years. We have always worked as one team to ensure a seamless FM service offering to our customers and we are pleased to be continuing this partnership with Ecovert FM."

Dave Carr, Ecovert FM's Chief Operating Officer, says "The Cabinet Office is one of our flagship contracts and we are delighted with the three-year extension. We will continue to work proactively and closely with the facilities team at the Cabinet Office to further enhance and develop our services."
